Tutoring

Are You Struggling?

No worries! I have complied a bunch of different resources that you may find handy in a stressful time of need. Go ahead and look around this page and let me know what you think. There is everything from YouTube videos to resources at your college. If you would like to schedule an appointment with me just go ahead and email me and we will set up a time to get toghether. I will soon have my calendar on here so you can sign up for a time and place directly.
Colleges/Universities: (mind you I only have the ones I have been directly affiliated with)
  • University College Dublin:
  • University of Utah:
  • Utah State University:
    • Main Page
    • Math Department
    • Academic Resource Center: The man to talk to is Dennis Kohler. He can lead you in the right direction no matter what question you may have. Trust me you will be happy you scheduled a time to visit with him!
    • Career Services: Trust me, they do help you! Because of them I have a wicked awesome resume and have had opportunities that I wouldn't have normally had. Talk to Donna Crow. If she can help me, she can help you. Its well worth it.
  • Now, of course, I recommend that you speak to your professor- they know best how to help you. However, I understand that some professors are not worth talking to. In this case, you need to know the resources that you have available to you. First off, at every university there will be a list of tutors. Find one that you get along with (trust me this does help) and stick with them. It will cost you some money but sometimes it's worth it when it gets you through the class. If you don't have time to find a tutor, then start looking online. There are plenty of sites that help math students. (There is always someone that had your same question.) I have listed off a few of the sites that have been recommended to me or that I have used. Notice: YouTube is first. This is because majority of the time it has the best videos on math subjects. Make sure though that you're watching a video from a credible source (i.e. a professor, a corporation, someone with good reviews and lots of view).

  • YouTube
  • Khan Academy
  • Just Math Tutorials

  • These sites have everything you could possibly imagine but if you find that they are not helping let me know and I will find something else that might suit your needs.

If, however, you do have time to find a tutor, I can offer my services. Please email me at liz@lizcornwall.com and I can schedule a time to meet with you. My prices vary, but I am sure we will find something that will work for both of us.
